Studio

A kerf is the width of a cut, the thin line a saw takes out of the wood. We work at that width. Every picture we make has three distances. From across the street it is a poster. From arm’s length it is a face, a hand, a collar. From ten centimetres it is skin, leather, thread, a drop of rain. If a frame holds at all three, we keep it. If not, we shoot again.
